“Saptarshi has been a student of the Microbiology at
GCC for five years now. He has pursued his
undergraduate and currently his post graduate studies at
the department. He was a topper during his
undergraduate studies. As a student, I have always found
him to be very intelligent and dedicated in academic
pursuits. He is involved in a lot of activities and has
represented the college at various inter college
competitions and won many accolades. Also, he has
presented several papers during his post graduate, has a
good scientific temper and intends to pursue doctorate.
Saptarshi is also very creative and involves himself
voluntarily in the activities of the department. His
contributions are very helpful. As a department we are
very proud of him and really wish him and expect him to
soar to great heights.”
Ms. Sheeja,

“Saptarshi is a good time manager, brisk in doing what is
asked for, up to date with all what is taught, does not
confine himself to book, understands things beyond
book, efficient in carrying out given tasks on /before
time, extrovert. A person who we can rely upon for
anything asked anytime, shows a lot of respect to the
teachers. Good attitude, communication and

• GIVEN A CHANCE TO BE A MICROBE, WHICH
ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO BE?
I would certainly choose to be Bacillus thuringiensis to
be able to serve mankind.
• IF YOU WERE DARWIN’S BEST FRIEND WOULD
YOU HAVE ENCOURAGED HIM TO PRESENT
SUCH A CONTROVERSIAL THEORY?
Of course! What seems to be ‘impossible’ or ‘absurd’
today can be ‘True’ tomorrow in the light of science?
So, I would have encouraged his vision that may prove
to be correct or even incorrect in the future.
