The opportunity to visit Wonder La was like a drop of rain on parched land. The place is located off the Mysore road, a little over two hours drive from the college campus, and so we
had to set out early. The very thought of visiting an amusement park had given me a sleepless night and getting up on time was not a problem at all. I was sure that the same was the case with the others too. All the members were at the venue much before time. We started our journey at 9:30 and reached Wonder La at 11:30 am. The time gap may seem more but when friends are together, it does not matter. So the long journey did not dampen our enthusiasm.

The very site of Wonder La was enough to give jar to the child inside. It is packed with dry rides and water rides. Few dry rides were Mixer, Drop Zone, Insanity, Scary Ride and many more. The rides almost gave us the feeling of being a bird, rather a free bird. It made us all tipsy turvy. At one moment we were about to touch the sky and the next moment we were almost rubbing our noses on the ground and some times we were left hanging between Heaven and Earth. Water rides were Wave pool, Rain Disco, Tubes and a whole lot of them. We got drenched completely but just couldn't have enough of it. We were revising our swimming lessons and also danced on some foot tapping numbers. We were 16 students together all in one group and were having a lot of fun.

Our teachers were a bit skeptical in the beginning but couldn't resist the idea of having ultimate fun for long. We wanted to grab everything available together. We ran from one
ride to another as if it will run away. Wonder La to me is one of the places that portray a sense of unity. People from different walks of life, of all age groups mingle together to relive their childhood. One of the favorites among the rides was 'The Splash'. We took rides on that one for innumerable number of times.

One of the objectives of the trip was to unite all the members of the magazine club and the purpose was fully met. One thing which impressed me the most about Wonder La was its management. Everything here is well organized and safety has been given due attention. Everything came to an end and so did our trip, but I hope it ended well just to recur again. As
we left Wonder La with heavy hearts, we promised to cherish every moment of it for days to come
