A: I have been awarded the “All India Best Cadet” from NIC Kurfri. Also, I am a recipient of the “Best Cadet (Inter Battalion) Bangalore Group”. At CADC (full), I was adjudged the “Best Fire.” Q: How does NCC help in the overall personality development?
A: It helps to build the personality and adds a certain zing to a person's character. When you go through the training, you emerge as a different person with a lot of confidence and poise. It is hard to express what and how it brings about the change. You have to grow through the experience to understand what it is like. Q: On what parameters were you given the best cadet award?
A: I was the contingent commander of Bangalore region. Your command is taken into account. You have to be disciplined, dedicated and enthusiastic. Team work is very important and should get along well with people because how they perform reflects directly on your leadership qualities. Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: I plan to join the forces, especially the army. My dad is an army officer and I derive my inspiration from him. But before that I plan to appear for the (full form) CDSE examinations.
Q: You are a good orator. Any advice on how one can improve oratory skills?
A: Orating skills cannot be learnt. They are inborn. The only thing that can be done is to improve on the skills and that comes through debates and speaking before a crowd. Most importantly, you must have confidence in yourself. through debates and speaking before a crowd. Most importantly, you must have confidence in yourself. |
