Wanna have some Caribbean food and hunting for such a restaurant in the city? Cast your eyes no further. Sue's Food Place offers you this and much more. Splendid, luscious and homely sustenance is what is what I discovered on my visit.

Entrepreneur Susan R John, the owner of the restaurant is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. But what it is surprising meeting her for the first time is that she reminds you of one of namma Bharat and does not look an inch a foreigner.

Sue, as this stunning mother of two is fondly called, came up with the idea of setting a restaurant almost a decade back. Must be a long time, isn't it? With her special interests n cooking, socializing and meeting people and a qualification in management, it was only natural that she came up with the innovative idea of establishing a restaurant. "I guess it was just a matter of blending the three interests," she explains.
Having been to the place, I found the ambience quite affable. The soothing tunes welcome you to the place that has all paraphernalia of the Caribbean islands.

Talking about the food, the restaurant is renowned for its Caribbean food. And why not? The owner is a cook herself and this reflects on the food of topmost quality.

Caribbean food is often called the corrupted version of North Indian delicacies.

According to Sue, Caribbean food is 'a tasty and delicious medium in pungency'. The food includes a variety of dishes. Beginning with the Special Chicken Steak that are juicy chicken breasts delicately, marinated in West Indian herbs, served with buttered mushrooms, vegetables- onions and macaroni pie, it is a palatable platter.

The Cantonese Fried Chicken is another dish, which is mouth watering. Fish Aura, a completely incompatible dish is another favourite among the visitors. A specialty of the place, which is appreciated by almost everyone, is the Egg Salads, a sumptuous nutrient prepared in a novel way. The menu is not limited to this but extends to Barbecued Chicken, Tobago Curry, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Mutton Curry, Black Eye Stew and lots more.

For vegetarians, the list includes Dal with a choice of curry, an appetizing Caribbean dish, Creole Veg Platter that is a mixture of all West Indian vegetables, Red Blan and Black Eye Stew etc.
Another notable ingredient at restaurant is Cocorico- a refreshing drink made from tender coconut. Sour Sop Punch, which is a fruit from the Caribbean, is soon to be seen on the menu.

On my visit here, I caught up with a few visitors. And they all seem to share the same thoughts. A fantastic place to spend a weekend,” says Dr. Gulshan, a guest from the UK. “The craving for the best food is what Sue's place is all about,” she emphasizes.
Dr. Gulshan is a regular here and spends half the year in Bangalore and is inspired by Sue's towering personality.
Another regular visitor, Mr. Abhilash, Senior Accountant, AOL asserts the food here is yummy and goes well with the Caribbean music. “There are amazing people at the restaurant and makes the place worth visiting. Sue's restaurant is the finest example of it,” adds Abhilash
