Eyelashes are the epitome of femininity – they’re what separate female characters from male characters in drawings. Long and thick eyelashes draw immediate attention to the eyes, making them look bigger and brighter, but what makes them so? Mascara is the answer, which makes eyelashes look longer, darker, fuller and thicker. It helps to open up eyes to a great extent. It will be a little bit strange to hear that it is the most beloved cosmetic of women after lipstick. It is available in many skin colours depending on the natural colours of the lashes and some funky colours too. Mascara is used essentially for all types of makeup from nearly natural day makeup to glamorized party makeup. Ingredients in mascara include water, wax thickeners, filmformers, and preservatives. Mascara brushes can be straight or curved- to curl eye lashes. Some mascara brands contain rayon or nylon fibers to lengthen eyelashes. Mascara Colour Bright blue, green, or violet mascara applied all over the lashes looks artificial and unnatural, like blue lipstick applied on lips or nail paint applied over nails. Gold or silver glittery mascara does not define the lashes, these mascaras are used just to add some colour or sparkle to funky party makeup. Applying this glitter mascara on the tips of your lashes, over black or brown mascara will add a glamorous look complimenting your party wear. Dark purple, blue, or violet mascara is an excellent way to enhance the beauty of your eyes. Now a day’s these trendy colours are in fashion for teenagers. Use it alone, or apply it on the lower lashes in combination with black on the upper lashes. Purple is very flattering for a green or hazel iris; blue is great for blue eyes or with blue eyeliner, and also look great in fair complexion; violet particularly suits brown eyes, but this is the only hue among other which add enigma and depth to eyes of any colour. One of the very rare is Green mascara, if it is not bright, will look brown on the lashes. Natural grey, brown, or soft black mascara is appropriate and find place in daily makeup. These colours are especially suitable for young girls and working women. Grey mascara usually softens the look, and suits women with blonde or white hair and light eyebrows, not suitable enough for Indian women; brown is perfect for natural makeup but again on darkhaired and fair skinned women. Black mascara is the best choice for strong evening makeup. Black mascaras the perfect match for all types of eyelashes and skin tone. Waterproof Mascara Easy to wear but not so easy to get smudged, being water proof is enough to be a reason. Long lasting and works every time- swim, cry or weather problem but as you know every good thing have some or the other problem, these got difficulty when it’s time to remove it you have to use cosmetic cleaner to remove. Be cautious while applying it as this takes long time to dry may get smeared unless you are careful enough. They are however a good investment, because they are resistant to contamination and can be used even years after they have been manufactured. Water Based Mascara -One of the most common among all three as after its application dries very fast and can be removed very easily with some soap and water, so they are gentle to the lashes and the eyes. These are also known as non water-resistant mascaras. In water based mascaras the lashes tend to clump together, as the film is not water proof, the mascara smudges easily when it comes in contact with water, tears, and perspiration. Due to the high water content, these products are difficult to preserve and have a short keeping life. Next>> |
