In all these courses, themanagement programs – MBA,BBM, and B.Com- hold a special place . Challenge With an intake pegged at W60 for MBA, 320 for BBM and 200 for B.Com, among the various challenges the institution had to overcome initially were that of overall development of students and the faculty.Thus the institution identified the main areas and took appropriate measures to address the needs.

Realizing this, the department of management studies had successfully developed innovative and reliable practices to hone the skills of the students to make them suitable for this fiercely competitive corporateworld. Induction Week This is basically anTorientation week where the students will get a briefing on the program and form learning sets. Group activities, debates, games etc are organized to ensure a pleasant learning experience. Freshers’ the occasion newly arrived students’ organized to welcome them In today’s world ragging is very much prevalent in many colleges. It has manifested it self in many forms. Garden City College has taken a serious cognizance of this evil and has introduced Freshers’ day to eliminate this evil. On this day, the Freshers are introduced to the seniors who offer them a platform to introduce themselves and interact with them under the supervision of senior faculty members. Cultural program by seniors and team activities are organized by seniors to the juniors as a form of ice breaker. This practice is the first of its kind by any college in India. Gardenia The mega event Gardenia, Ta week long fest, is organized by the college and over 150 colleges participate every year. With more than 100 competitions being organized by the departments, this has become the largest inter college event in the country. All this is offered without any participation fee charged by the institution. The institution charges a token fee of Re.1/- per college. The college offers free food and accommodation for all participating colleges. The event is completely managed by our students and over 400 students are trained as event managers every year.
Learning Teams articipants of the MBA, PBBM and B.Com program are encouraged to form learning teams to help their mutual development. All support required for these teams are provided by the department. Students are regularly sent to management fests and industry visits to hone the skills and knowledge.
