clubbing looking at the title. But if you happen to be one of those guys
they popularly refer to as 'foreign fresher',
then welcome to Bangalore. The journey of ‘growing up’ and ‘going out’ could well have
just begun. As you go through the next
three to four years in Bangalore, you will
have the opportunity to ‘get into shape’ with
the helping hand of the environment around
you and you’d better do it responsibly. So
you ask once you are here, where are the
hang outs in Bangalore? The answer you
must have probably heard a hundred times
- Just head to Brigade Road.
But there are many other things one can
do to grow intellectually and have funbesides the lectures or heading for Brigade
Road. The starting point comes in the form
of the "Events Section" in the local
newspapers. Be on the look out for this
section in order to make sure (unlike most
of the students) that you do not miss out on
great events only to knick yourself after.
You will find many arts and music shows,
movies, theatre, costume parties etc,
tacked away in this section.
Along MG Road, you will find a number
of book shops with lots to offer the literature
lover including the latest releases at very
affordable prices. The numerous cafes
along that street offer a place to sit and
read the novel you may have purchased.
Wait a minute, how about if you are not into
reading novels. Well you too are in luck. A
magazine store just off the intersection of
Brigade Road and Church Street has all the
comics and magazines one can look
forward to reading.
Last but not the least, something for the
food lovers (aren't we all?). The multicuisine
restaurants all over the city will give
you the best of 'good food experience' and
a true feeling of a cosmopolitan city. Pick
up one of those 'times food guide' and you
will have all the hangouts at your finger
tips.
