Athithi Devo Bhava
  Young, focused and brimming with energy, Ajanta Deb Roy, a Bachelors in Business Management (BBM) student from Sylhet, Bangladesh is confident in her abilities and capacity to look up and aspire for the very best in life.
Her achievements transcend diverse fields - academics, painting, computer programming and much more. Barely into her twenties, Ajanta made her way to the city as the recipient of the ICCR scholarship.
On the occasion of Gardenia Internationale 2007, GCC World got the opportunity to gain some insights into her life.

Excerpts from the Interview:
Q. Tell us something about your country?
A. Bangladesh is a lovely country, with a specialty of having the longest sea beach, Coxsbaza. The country with its moderate climate attracts people from all over the world. Sunderban, the world's largest forest is another special feature.

Q. I hope you don't mind sharing a little info about your school life with us?
A. These were the golden days of my life and a very interesting phase for me. I completed my secondary schooling from Government High School with A Grade Point and an average score of 4.75 out of 5.
Further, I succeeded in completing higher secondary education from M.C. College, Sylhet, with a score of 4.5

Q. You mentioned that you have attended the South Asian Best Young Convention in 2002. What was it all about?
A. The Convention was held in Nepal and as a country leader, we deliberated on the major problems of youth in Asian countries.

Q. You are the elected Cultural Secretary of the Federation of International Student Associations, Bangalore. What does the position mean to you?
A. I feel extremely honoured to hold to be my country representative at the International Day Celebrations organized by Mysore University in 2006.

It gives me immense pleasure and sense of recognition to be associated with FISA-B.

Q. Gaining accolades widely, what do you attribute your success to?
A. I always believe in my abilities. Dedication and hard work is the ultimate key to success. This has helped boost my confidence. Moreover, the parental support has pushed me to reach where I find myself today.

Q. What are your future plans?
A. Hereafter, I aspire to go for my MBA in the United Kingdom

Q. What is your take on Gardenia Internationale?
A. This is certainly the way to go. It's the best way to bring together students from various countries for a time of fellowship.
