The college, apart from importing education, enriches every aspect of a student's life. The college tries to help the students as far as possible with all their problems. Recalls the former student of the college: “After completing my post graduation, the University did not release my certificates and in the two years that ensued, I received great support from the college,” he explains. “The head of the department, the then principal and all my teachers helped me through the trying period. In more ways than one, I am greatly indebted to GCC for standing by me in the battle that I would certainly not have won single handedly.”

Apart from facilities for the students, GCC is also known to have a congenial working atmosphere for the teachers feels Ms. Anupama Kotur, a lecturer in the Department of Tourism, “The employer –employee relationship is a cordial one and I have never had any Monday morning blues coming to work. In many ways, I have always felt a sense of belonging here since we work together as a family.” According to Ms. Anupama, in terms of facilities for students as well as teachers, GCC is one of the best colleges in the IT city of Bangalore and beyond.

GCC is also known to be home to several gifted teachers who contribute towards the development of the students. As Ms. Manisha Seal of the Department of Tourism points out, “The guidance from the lecturers prepared us to face the challenges in the industry with confidence. That helped us a lot,” she insists. The same thoughts are echoed by her colleague and former student of the Department of Tourism. “I feel the department as well as college has lived up to the expectations. We had good faculty and the exposure element was always evident. GCC has a good infrastructure and this helps the students gain a foothold in their chosen discipline.”

Ms. Radhika Menon too shares her views on the lecturers. “When I came to the college as a student, I was very shy and be trembling while making presentations in class. I am glad I got a lot of help from my teachers and that helped improve my communication and presentation skills.

Indeed its true Garden City Group of Institutions has succeeded in combining quality education with an excellent infrastructure. A great factor which has contributed towards the growth of the college, is the vision of the chairperson, Dr. Joseph V.G., perceived by the present students as a visionary and remembered by former students as mentor, has influenced several young minds. Reminisces Ms. Menon: “I remember from my student days that he was very popular with the students. We used to listen to his talks a lot because he gave very valuable suggestions in a very informal manner. He is very simple and down to earth. The chairman used to take our suggestions and complaints seriously and even a minor grievance regarding food in the hostel was taken with all the seriousness,” she notes.

While others like Mr. Pradipto Bannerjee believe a person has to be unique to achieve what the chairman has achieved within a short span of time, others find him to be simple and straight forward. Like Mr. Kaushal Kishore Tiwary, alumnus and lecturer in the Department of Management who has interacted with the chairman on numerous occasions. “He has a vision for education and is very passionate about it. That is the true character of a genius.”

That GCC has evolved as a prestigious institution over the past decade and is still growing is a fact. Here one can find everything from a confluence of cultures to good infrastructure as well as quality education.
As Garden City Group of Institutions celebrates another Founder's Day, the college under it proudly gear up to welcome the next batch of freshers.
Happy Birthday our beloved mentor, guardian and leader- May you live to steer more dreams and aspirations!
