Provoked is the story based on true incident that took place in Britain. Its a story about a Punjabi family settled in Britain

Kiranjeet Alhuwalia (Aishwarya) was born in a Punjab to a middle-class family. Lost her father at a very young age being the youngest of nine kids and was most loved. She wanted to be a lawyer but married of at young age while she was completing graduation.

Came to the land of British, this innocent girl was scared to put her first step in Britain but with her husband by her side she got every courage to put her step in Britain. Came to the country to fulfill her dream and desire but ever thing went into vain when she found that her husband was very brutal. He used to beat her very frequently. He used to sleep with several whites and come back home full drunk and used to rape her every day.

Being mother of two kids she was totally helpless she can no more tolerate the merciless beating of her brutal husband. So, the lady of submissive soul made her mind to be a strong rebeller and wanted to escape from brutality. So, one day when her husband came back home and he was completely drunk and was lying peacefully. Kiranjeet (Aishwarya) went slowly inside the room with candle and kerosene and threw it on the bed and set the bed on firewith the burning of her husband she found her dream of freedom,her escape from shackles of all ruthless torture.

When police came for investigation found Kiranjeet (Aishwarya)to be guilty and was put behind the bars. She told her story to her lawyer she cannot make her free on the account of self-defence as her husband was sleeping.

Meanwhile, her husband was counting days in hospital and he passed away and their two kids were taken by her mother-in-law. In prison she found freedom as there was no merciless whipping. She can breath free in the fur corner of jail. Though she was breathing free but her dreadfull days with her husband was following her like shadows. But,she got an angel, the woman who gave a u-turn that was her prison mate Jackie and made the submissive meagre soul of Kiranjeet into a fearless tigress.

Meanwhile an organization called South Halls Black Sister who worked for women cause came to take up kiranjeet case and wanted for re-trial.As she was imprisoned for nine years that was justified. Meanwhile after Jackie knowing her story started supporting her both mentally and physically she started teaching her English and slowly she was gaining courage to face the world.called South Halls Black Sister who worked for women cause came to take up kiranjeet case and wanted for re-trial.As she was imprisoned for nine years that was justified.

In order to get public attention Black Sister started propaganda through pamphlets and also conducted a small assembly where Radhika (Nandita)translated into English the story of Kiranjeet which was even broadcasted.

Now, Jackie asked her brother who was a well known barrister to take up kiranjeet case.. So,his brother along with South Halls Black Sister asked for re-trial in the court and Kiranjeet change the laws of british as judge her case to be re-trial though she was not given bail but her imprisonment was decreased to three years. So,there comes the victory of a mother, daughter and over all triumph to woman hood. She also tells to every mother to teach their son to respect woman and not to torture them and woman should be fearless and should fight with all odds-there lies success of woman cause woman is not weak cause a man is born from woman.
