The adage, life is half spent before we know what it is crept into my thoughts and gave rise to another thought and became a question mark. To find out the answers live it lively, like Tagore once said, let your life lightly dance on the edges of time like dew on the tip of a leaf.

Through my journey of twenty years, my lips stretch to the ends of the cheek to bring that smile when memories strike my mind. But today, who has time mark this smile in their life? The metro life has dragged everyone into its 'busy-bee life style' and materialism rules over everyone's mind and the innocent side of our lives gets buried. How many of us bother to smile for small things? Small things bright and beautiful... go the hymn. I remember the choir of my school that portrayed small things as most beautiful creatures. We can win anything in the world. All that one need is that side of life that feels for smaller things in the world. How can we forget the beginning life gave us? The successes, hard work, the insults, those breakdowns, broken affairs, the tears that rolled down for a mother's hug, the long hours spent at the study table, the rains that replayed the past scenes, the winning attitudes, the rebellious strain in students, the days spent at the hostel and all the small things that fills one with tears and made one go on dreaming and in the bargain just cherished the memories.

What is life all about? This still remains a question and it has to because the curiosity to explore it becomes one's life. Live lives to the fullest but don't forget to give space to all those things in the world that digs a dimple and traps you into that beautiful moment. And when you smile the next time gazing at the rainfall remember, that is all what life asks for. And incase you do not discover anything in life, then put a question mark so that life can provide the answers through all the small things.

But I know it's next to impossible to expect a life that solves every homosapiens queries. What is life without problems? One has to solve a puzzle, be it career, family or love. In today's life all these three play their consequential roles and the only solution to all the three puzzles is the great dictator in this mechanical world –money. Money has managed to conquer that place in people's lives that small things ruled long back. In simple words it has snatched the innocent smile for a cunning laugh. Life today is filled with complications, complexities and competition that camouflages the real 'you' and the 'real' life to 'reel' life.

Bring out that real self, shred the curtain that blocks the 'real you'. When my memory flashes back and recall the scenes of my first day of college, shivers run down my spine. It is simply unbelievable to spot the changes in the college and the people I have known. Everyone seems to projecting their real selves affected by the 'reel' world. No doubt, they did succeed to lower morality in the society. Humanity? I have a doubt in its existence.

Today we give lame excuses such as slip of mind and skip prayers. But do we ver forget to admire ourselves in the mirror? Where are the early morning risers and the so called surya namaskaras? How many of us take pains to lift the lazy eyelids for a gaze at the sky? Who has time for such small things, right?
Life does not exist in a substance but it does in the nature and us. Grab the opportunity of having enjoyed the small things in the world before the doomsday in Vision 2020 proves the post happenings true.
No one can set different calendars now in 2007 and change life again. But one can set right kind of life and experience it to the fullest. From multiplexes, Mc Donalds and the pubs sometimes do switch on to sky, rain and a nature trail. I bet, you would love that for it costs you not a penny and offers a smile that awakens 'the real you'.

In such a case what do you think life asks for? It's a question mark right? But life exists very much in its simplicity and humanity. Even if the villages develop into metro cities tomorrow, life will just be the same. It's you and me who alter it here and there. Dream big but add crème to small things in life because all that life asks for...
