GCC World:Future Plans –Career and Personal?

Ms. Nancy George: I am going to pursue my career in MBA, get dual specialization and join the fashion industry. Gaining experience would be my first priority and I’d stop only after I reach my goal –MD of Vogue Institutes in India. Personally, I prefer being a good sister, daughter and a good citizen.

GCC World: You are a management trainee? Does fashion need managerial skills?

Ms. Nancy George : Every activity that takes place needs management skills to excel...whether it is your daily chores or fashion. Being a management trainee had its own demands but it was an experience – a three year long process where I learnt to cope and adjust to the needs, to compete and excel, to manage and be managed the first steps to life...no substitute to hard work

GCC World: Any Message to GCC fraternity?

Ms. Nancy George:GCC is a place...I would say...one of the best places where talents are nurtured. To the GCC fraternity, I would stand up and salute them and humbly bow and say with gratitude, anywhere I go, I’d always say with pride that ‘I am a Gardenian’. And to my juniors, ‘make the best out of what you get while you can ‘coz you only realise the value of something while it’s gone.”

GCC World: What is your take on the range of clothes in F-TV?

Ms. Nancy George : The clothes on F-TV are simply about creativity and unpracticality. Speaking on the commercial aspects, only a small segment of the fashion world prefers such clothes.

GCC World: You happen to be a good RJ. What has been your experience?

Ms. Nancy George : Appreciative) Thank you. It was simply rocking when I took the mic. I don’t fear the mike nor did I. I was just tense before I went to the studio but since then, it has been a smooth ride. Ifaced the mic and simply fired on!

GCC World: Fashion sometimes repeats for a short time. What are your thoughts?

Ms. Nancy George : Classics are cool! I often wonder when I find myself so comfortable in the styles of 60s as to how the tastes suit mine. But then as the saying goes, ‘old is old’. As to the short fashions or fads, I wouldn’t prefer them.

Exploring the unexplored would be
what I will do. I’d never stop at a
planet...I’d venture further, explore
what lies out there and then return back
to land on Mars. Got to meet those
extra terrestrials out there!
