Simply sizzling

Eating out is something that Gardenians love to do. And it is not always easy to find a place that suits both your palate and your pocket. Therefore, a stop at Simply Sizzlers located at the Gourmet Food Court in Lido Mall turned out to be a very pleasant surprise.

One among several eateries at the court, Simply Sizzlers offers a succulent veg, paneer, chicken and lamb dishes.What turns this meal into an experience is watching the chefs prepare it in front of your very eyes.

We decided to order Chicken Shashlik and a Shredded Lamb Black Pepper. The Chicken Shashlik is succulent and spicy with a Chinese twist to it. A mouth watering dish as it was also filling and orth every penny spent on it. The dish comes with a base of cabbage leaves with a scoop of rice topped with gravy and chicken arranged around. The Shredded Lamb Black Pepper is a delicious dish that teases taste buds as you work your way through it. The lamb is well cooked and the peppery sauce is delicately lavored and doesn’t overpower the taste of the dish. The lamb and rice are accompanied by beans, carrots and an order of fries.

Other dishes that you could also try out and are highly recommended by the chefs are Chicken Soya hilly, and Chicken Supreme, but if you prefer having Veggies for your meal you can order Veggie Black Pepper Garlic, Three Mushroom Veg or better yet pick Paneer Shashlik or Paneer Veg Soya Chilly.

We decided to finish off the meal with a Sizzling Chocolate Brownie Fudge for dessert, and it didn’t by any means disappoint. The prices range from 110rs to 160rs which is much less than what you would pay for sizzlers at other outlets. Yet there is not much difference in taste as compared to pricier sizzler restaurants. Gourmet Food Court, Lido Mall is very relaxed and perfect for quiet cozy meals. The warm colour tones enhance this aspect and set the mood for an enjoyable meal. Since this food court provides a variety of eats from joints that aren’t available everywhere in the city and since this mall is also at close proximity to the college, in the next issue we’ll cover a few other eating spots at the same venue.
