(f) Republic Day Camp (RDC)  

The RDC is the most prestigious camp of the NCC. It is the grandest of all activities of the NCC. It is held from 1 to 29 of January every year. 1,800 young boys and girls from every corner of the country, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Kutch to Kohima, selected through numerous competitions at the state level participate. At the RDC, the cadets are the picture of self-confidence and determination.

Cadets are given opportunity to march inconsonance with the Armed Forces, the police, and various Para Military organizations on 26 January. The Prime Ministers Rally is held on 27 January, an event that is marked as much by the display of skills in different activities, as by the precision with which these are executed. The Vice President generally inaugurates the camp, which is visited by a number of VIPs like the Prime Minister, the Defence Minister, the Minister of state for Defence and the three service chiefs. Cadets get an opportunity for interacting with these VIPs and a host of dignitaries. The cadets who attend the RD camp are given preference to attend the youth exchange programme

(g) Trekking Camps (TC)
The trekking camps are also conducted in an All-India basis. The camp can be conducted any where in India, and cadets from every directorate take part in it.

(h)Thal Sainik Camp (TSC)
It is a competition camp in which the best shooters and also map-readers of the various directorates participate.

2. Community Development
These are the activities organized to make the youth and through them people conscious and sensitive to the needs and problems of their fellow countrymen so as to contribute meaningfully to enriching the community life. The major activities include Blood donations, Adult literacy, nti Dowry and Leprosaria, Aids- Awareness, Tree plantation, Cleaning drives, Volunteer service in Cheshomes and eye donations, etc. As part of heir fatigue duty are to build roads in rural rea and also clean and maintain the camp premises and surroundings.

3. Adventure Training

This includes trekking, rock climbing, mountaineering, para jumping, scuba diving, waterskiing, wind surfing, sailingyachting, hang gliding and micro light flying, slithering and motor cycle expeditions, etc whereby cadets develop special qualities of courage, leadership spirit of adventure and comradeship team work and self confidence.

4. Youth Exchange Programme (YEP)
The well designed YEP, with the youth organizations of friendly countries, comprises visits by a group of cadets for a period of one week to three weeks to each others country, on a reciprocal basis. The primary aim is to expose our youth to international understanding and wareness. The exchanges are rried out with NCC community of nine countries namely Bangladesh , Bhutan, Canada, Maldives, Nepal , ingapore, UK, Russia, andVietnam at international level. Government has ‘in principle’ agreed to include seven additional countries e.g. USA , Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand , Indonesia, and Myanmar. The cadets who attend the RD camp will be elected to attend YEP. They are selected through an interview of ADG/DG (Assistant Director General/ Director General) NCC. Besides the NCC also gives importance to sports. It is part and parcel of every training camp. NCC participates in select national level games every year, in order to fulfill its role of providing a launch pad for talented cadets. NCC participates in competitions such as GV Mavlankar and National and Shooting competitions, Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey tournament and Subroto Cup Football tournament.
