Gardenia Internationale: Confluence 2007
From the Chairman's Desk
|
|
|
I would
like to welcome the international students to
Garden City College as we celebrate the spirit
of universal harmony at Gardenia Internationale:
Confluence 2007. And for all of us at GCC, this
promises to be significant milestone and the continuation
of exciting developments that we have set in place
at our campus.
As we commemorate this
edition of Confluence, I am happy that what started
with a humble beginning has today become a unique
and explosive platform for international students
to showcase their talents.
As in the past, this event
is organized for the exclusive benefit of international
students studying in different educational institutions
across the city and beyond.
Obviously, this is one
occasion they all look forward to in the academic
calendar because of the innovative contests lined
up for them. I hope this year we would also unveil
and honour new talents. The rendevous of diverse
cultures on a common platform will also witness
the winners walk away with a bounty of prizes
and goodies.
Athithi Devo Bhava-Guest
is like God. It has been a cherished tradition
of the people living in the city and beyond to
spread open the doors to guests from all parts
of the world in our midst. Many of them have been
with us and enjoyed the hospitality. Many have
their career start at our campuses. And many still
dream of a future staying and learning from our
great wells of knowledge. We welcome you all.
As the host, we are happy
that you have been part of our success story and
hope that the days ahead will further strengthen
the ideals and values we hold dearly.
We welcome you all to
be part of this cultural extravaganza and showcase
the beauty of the cultural diversity while extolling
the virtues of unity in diversity.
As this issue illustrates,
we extend a hand of invitation to all and look
forward to another memorable showcase of talent.
