Excerpts from the Interview:

Q. What has been your experience as a finance director?
A: I manage the funding of the project as well as looking after administration in the organization. I deal with several stakeholders. I look for money and proper ways of spending it to bring about effective ways of managing resources. So it has been a wonderful stint as the finance director.

Q. What are your plans for the Metro Rail Project?
A: We are starting the first phase which is about 33km, East to West from NGEF to Mysore Road and North South, from Yashwantpur to Jayanagar cutting each other 7-km underground and 23km overhead. We are jointly doing this project with the Government of central and state governments. The Project will take 5 years, and I can proudly say that it will carry 10 million people everyday.

Q. what is the difference in the working environs of Mumbai and Bangalore?
A: (Laughing) Mumbai is very fast paced whereas Bangalore, though a mega city, is blessed with lovely climate and lovelier people. It makes people feel very comfortable. No other city integrates people. For me working in Bangalore is an absolute pleasure. The worst thing is the vehicle population which is very increasing by the day.

Q: What are the opportunities that your magazine offers to students?
A: We do not have much to offer to the students. Magazines have a limited space and equally limited resources. So we prefer professionals. look for solutions. Everyone has to participate! People should hunt for the truth, take the good and leave out the bad.

Q: What are the opportunities that your magazine offers to students?
A: We do not have much to offer to the students. Magazines have a limited space and equally limited resources. So we prefer professionals.

Q. Sir, What are the Large Scale Projects you have worked on?
A: I have worked in many places in the city, the outer ring road, the inter ring road, the Hebbal Flyover, Airport Road Flyover and now we are heading towards the CDP.
