A. It is a privilege for me to come to this college where education is given more preference than you would find in any of the western universities.

Q. What do you have to say about the way India has developed in the last 60 years?
A. Development of this democratic nation has picked up well in the past years. Our nation has a treasure trove of wonderful brains which can lead our country to great heights. Every individual should know their
capabilities and work for it.

Q. What are the changes required for the development?
A. The ethics and moral values of students, who are the builders of the nation, should be strengthened. They
should not resort to short cut methods of success and not be involved in any sort of terrorism activities.

Q. You are a member of the Lion's Club. How has your activities contributed to the development of the country?
A. The activities of the Lion's club have greatly helped the fishermen in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh under 'Walk in and Help'. It helps various organisations to reach villages and help the villagers with their needs. Students too have formed voluntary organisations for the same. Moreover, stress is laid upon providing adult education and helping people living in debts learn things.

Q. It has been 60 years. How d i f f e r e n t i s t h i s y e a r ' s Independence Day?
A. The country men have now recognised the value of independence and India has become a strong nation with nuclear technology in its hands. Earlier we were developing and now we can say that we are developed in almost every field.

Q. What are your plans for Syndicate Bank, Bangalore region?
A. There are more than 100 branches of Syndicate Bank in Bangalore and we are at the third position. We are striving to reach the second and at the same time maintain the 60% growth level of the previous year as well as meet out the needs of the children.

Q. What is your advice to the Gardenians?
A. All I would like to say is that students should work hard and imbibe moral values and ethics in them and not to resort to unfair means because hard work pays. 'Strive hard to transform your dreams into reality'.
